Tart tatin with mushrooms and onions
Tarte tatin is usually made with fruit and is considered a delicacy. But Jamie Oliver came up with a recipe for savory onion tart tatin. Having tried his recipe, I decided to add champignons to this wonderful dish. It turned out perfect for cold winter days - hearty, tasty and healthy (onions are good for preventing seasonal colds and as a source of vitamins).
How to cook Tart tatin with mushrooms and onions
Step 1
Defrost the prepared puff pastry. Coarsely chop the onion, lightly fry in olive oil, drizzle with balsamic vinegar, salt.
Step 2
Add coarsely chopped champignons, simmer covered until tender (about 15 minutes).
Step 3
Pour into a fireproof dish greased with olive oil and sprinkled with thyme. Cover with a layer of puff pastry, pierce it with a fork in several places. Lubricate the dough with yolk. Bake at 200 degrees for 25 minutes.
Step 4
Invert onto a platter and serve topped with cream cheese. Delicious both hot and cold.
