Simple pear pie
This pear pie is so simple that even a middle school child can be trusted to make it. And also to an inexperienced hostess who has never baked anything in her life! Believe me: if you follow all our simple instructions, the cake will really succeed. The most important thing is to find the right pears. They should be ripe and sweet, but not too juicy. In winter, the “evergreen” conference variety is perfect, and in season you can take fruits from your garden or buy southern ones on the market. Pear pie is especially good for family tea drinking: despite its simplicity, it is very tasty and homely.
How to cook Simple pear pie
Step 1
Prepare the pears for a simple pie filling. Wash the fruits and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into quarters and remove cores with seeds.
Step 2
Cut the pulp of pears into small cubes and place in a bowl. Pour in lemon juice and stir. Cover with cling film and refrigerate until use.
Step 3
Cut the butter into small cubes and transfer to a mixing bowl. Leave at room temperature for 30 minutes. Sift flour with baking powder, salt and sugar into a bowl.
Step 4
Add the eggs to the butter and beat with a mixer. Add flour mixture and stir. Put the previously prepared pears. Stir. The dough for a simple pear pie is ready.
Step 5
Heat the oven to 180°C. Bake the pear pie for 45-50 minutes. Let cool slightly in the mold. Transfer to a plate, brush with apricot jam and serve.
