Bean Hummus
Hummus, a popular Eastern snack all over the world, is made from chickpeas according to the classic recipe. It takes a long time to prepare, and the legume is not always available in the store. Inventive chefs have found an alternative - replace chickpeas with beans. The recipe for making hummus from beans is quite simple. In addition to beans, you will need olive oil and lemon juice. It is better to buy olive oil marked "first cold pressing". Squeeze lemon juice only from fresh citrus fruits. There should be no colored spots on the peel of the fruit.
How to cook Bean Hummus
Step 1
Prepare the beans. Place the beans in a saucepan, cover with cold water and cook over medium heat until tender, about 1 hour. Drain the liquid into a separate container and blend the beans. If the gruel is too thick, you can dilute it with the liquid obtained during the cooking process.
Step 2
Dress the bean hummus. Squeeze lemon juice into the paste, add garlic, olive oil, salt, coriander and ground pepper. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
